Top songs of 1990: Let's get lyrical

It’s absolutely shocking to me that 1990 was more than 30 years ago. It feels like yesterday, especially when I hear these five songs, my personal top songs of 1990.

I’m pretty sure that year was when I first signed up for Columbia House and ordered my 12 cassette tapes for a penny. No. 1 was C&C Music Factory. Word.

Can you identify my Top 5 favorite songs of 1990 by the set of lyrics?

Questions:

1. It’s driving me out of my mind | That’s why it’s hard for me to find | Can’t get it outta my head | Miss her, kiss her, love her, wrong move you’re dead

2. It makes no difference if you’re black or white | If you’re a boy or a girl | If the music’s pumping it will give you new life

3. ‘Cause love cuts a million ways | Shakes the devil when he misbehaves | I ain’t nobody’s fool | Come on

4. Baby ain’t it somethin’ | How we lasted this long | You and me | Provin’ everyone wrong

5. You could sustain | Or are you comfortable with the pain? | You’ve got no one to blame for your unhappiness | Oh, baby | You got yourself into your own mess
