I think there’s nothing a sitcom costume department loves more than the Halloween episodes. It’s a chance to be as goofy, as pop culture savvy, and as outlandish as they want to be.
Costumes rule. They’re a chance to unleash that part of your personality that gets suppressed by mortgages and deadlines and grocery lists the rest of the year.
Maybe Halloween costumes aren’t really costumes at all. Maybe the real costumes are the clothes we wear the rest of the year when we’re dressing up as “responsible adults.” I tell you what, I’d rather be wearing a Camp Know Where trucker hat than a business suit any day of the week.
