Rain drops

Rain-soaked scenes that get me all misty

Whenever it rains in my town (which isn’t super often — thanks, Arizona), I love looking at my neighborhood with what I call “movie streets.” There’s a whole science behind why they wet down pavement for night scenes in movies, but let’s just say it’s because it looks cooler.

And most things are cooler, or more dramatic, when they happen in a downpour. The stakes are immediately higher for prison escapes, romantic reconciliations or, you know, the realization of your fragile place in the vast universe. You could catch cold, after all.

As for the kissing in the rain trope, well, people just look hotter all soaking wet.
