Post-Emmys Top 10 TV shows trivia list

The Emmys went down on Sunday, and “Game of Thrones” won best drama for perhaps its weakest season, which is a bummer. But also “Fleabag” and “Chernobyl” and “Barry” and “John Oliver”! That’s just a list of stuff that make my Top 10 TV shows list from the past year.

Top TV shows - Schitt's Creek
God, I love the Roses.

All that’s missing is “Schitt’s Creek,” which is currently my favorite comedy and I can’t wait for it to come back to Netflix in October, though it already aired in Canada this spring. Damn lucky Canadians, what with your universal health care and your knowing already what happens with David and Patrick.

Speaking of favorites, I whipped up a list of my Top 10 TV shows, and of course, wrote trivia questions to go with them. Enjoy:

1. “Friends”

Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston) had two sisters, Jill and Amy, who each appeared in two episodes. Name the two actresses who played them.

2. “Scrubs”

Bill Lawrence, the creator of “Scrubs,” went on to create what long-running comedy starring “Friends” alum Courteney Cox?

3. “Law and Order”

On the OG “Law and Order,” Adam Schiff (Steven Hill) was the Manhattan District Attorney for the first 10 seasons. What actress played his replacement, Nora Lewin?

4. “How I Met Your Mother”

Despite the years-long search for the mother, fans learned in the finale that she died after a few years of marriage and Ted ends up with Robin after all. (I’m still mad about it.) What was the mother’s full name?

5. “Game of Thrones”

During the War of the Five Kings, which of his bannermen did Robb Stark behead as punishment for killing two Lannister captives without his authorization, an act many say led to his eventual downfall?

6. “Breaking Bad”

Named with a personal significance we learn about in flashback, what fast food restaurant did Gus Fring use as the front for his drug operation?

7. “Frasier”

When Niles and Daphne finally realize their feelings for each other, Niles had just impulsively gotten married and Daphne was planning her wedding. Name the people they ditch when they get together.

8. “ER”

Which “Revenge of the Nerds” cast member found a home on “ER” for eight seasons as Dr. Mark Greene?

9. “The Simpsons”

What’s was the name of the mutated three-eyed fish that Bart caught while fishing near the Springfield nuclear power plant and Marge served on a platter to Mr. Burns at dinner?

10. “Stranger Things”

What was the name of the summer camp for nerds (I mean, cool kids) that Dustin went to and met his girlfriend Suzie before the start of Season 3?

Answers up after the scene of Ross trying to get his leather pants back on, which remains one of my favorite 4 minutes of television ever.
