The love song: People have been musically up in their feelings since a caveman first clacked a rock against another rock and grunted at the girl he liked.
You can’t go wrong with singing about love, because we can all relate. As one of them famously says, “Everybody loves somebody sometime.”
They may be cliche, but I have most definitely NOT had enough of silly love songs.
There are hundreds and hundreds of songs that use the L-Word in the title, and I’ve put together a list of five of my favorites. Can you identify the “love” song by a set of its lyrics?
Lyrics:
1. You need cooling | Baby I’m not fooling | I’m gonna send ya | Back to schooling
2. An angel’s smile is what you sell | You promise me heaven, then put me through hell | Chains of love got a hold on me | When passion’s a prison, you can’t break free
3. He smiled so I got up and asked for his name | But that don’t matter he said cuz it’s all the same | I said can I take ya home, where we can be alone
4. How long must I wait | How much more can I take | Before loneliness will ’cause my heart, heart to break?
5. Nothing you can make that can’t be made | No one you can save that can’t be saved | Nothing you can do, but you can learn how to be you in time
Answers up after the video for “Crazy in Love” by Beyoncé. For no other reason than it has also “love” in the title and it SLAPS.
